06 Philosophy
How I decide.
Six principles. Every one of them earned on a platform that had to stay up.
Build for scale, not hype.
Platforms that bill a country or stream to a living room can't chase trends. Every architecture decision starts from load, failure and growth.
Keep architecture understandable.
A system a new engineer can reason about in a week is worth more than a clever one only its author can operate.
Ship with quality.
Tests, CI/CD and review discipline aren't overhead — they're the reason releases are boring, and boring releases are the goal.
Automate repetitive work.
If a person does it twice a day, it belongs in a pipeline. People are for judgment, not repetition.
Make teams stronger, not dependent.
Years of teaching MERN cohorts and mentoring engineers taught me the same lesson: leadership that creates dependency isn't leadership.
Technology should solve business problems.
IPTV packages, IRD-compliant invoices, ad delivery — the stack only matters when it moves an operational or revenue needle.
